Where did hip hop begin?

 A member of Grandmaster Flash and the furious five group, “Keef Cowboy” Keith Wiggins is the most notable for using the term hip/hop imitating the sounds of soldiers marching in the army. It was in reference of a friend who had recently joint the army. Hip hop was founded in the Bronx in 1973 with much credit to Kool Herc, who was the first  major disco jockey.
